Our Procession and Benediction, that were not able to take place last year for Fr. Sean's Installation Mass, will be held on Sunday, May 2. We will have a reception with sandwiches beforehand starting at 1pm. It will be held in the area between the Holy Family Rectory and the Fairfield Fencing Academy. Holy Hour will take place at 3pm (we ask that everyone be seated in Holy Family Church at 2:45pm). The Procession will start from the parking lot at approximately 3:20pm. We will proceed to St. Emery where Benediction will take place. We will be escorted by the Fairfield Police Department.
Whether you are attending the reception and/or participating in the Procession, please rsvp to us no later than Monday, April 26. This is required so we can order the sandwiches as well as letting the FPD know how many people are participating in the Procession in order to have the appropriate number of Officers accompany us. You may call the office at 203-336-1835. If you are attending the reception, we will discuss the sandwich choices when you call. (We have varioius types of sandwiches along with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices available). We will also need to know if you have any food allergies.
The sandwiches will be individually wrapped and be on a seedless, hard roll with lettuce and tomato and served with a bag of chips. Bottled water will be available for everyone.
We look forward to hearing from you!
INCREASE OF CHURCH CAPACITY
Effective March 19, there are no capacity restrictions. However, masks must still be worn, everyone must maintain the six foot social distancing guidelines, and every other pew will still be blocked off. 1, Therefore, no reservations for weekend Masses will be necessary for Holy Family.
However, because of the smaller capacity at St. Emery and the need to monitor and maintain the required social distancing, a reservation for the Sunday Mass will still be required . If you have attended St. Emery on a regular basis, you will be left on the weekly standing reservation list. Walk-ins will not be allowed if we are at capacity. Please note there is no reservation needed for the Saturday morning Mass. For all Masses at St. Emery, please enter through the handicapped entrance only.
Reservations can be made by calling (203-336-1835) or emailing the Parish office ([email protected]) on Monday through Thursday between 9am and 3pm of the week leading up to Mass. If you call, you must speak live to a staff member in order to have your reservation confirmed. If you leave a voicemail message, your reservation is not confirmed until you receive a return call from a staff member. If you email, your reservation is not confirmed until you receive a reply email from a staff member.
Please do not attend Mass if you are not feeling well, with even the slightest symptom, or have been around anyone with Covid.
